Julie Auld

Julie has been a primary school educator for over 15 years and is currently a Reading Recovery Teacher Leader and Deputy Head Teacher in North Ayrshire, Scotland.

In 2016 she was part of the team who established the Professional Learning Academy who sought to support practitioners to engage in research based professional learning that would support the closing of the poverty related attainment gap.

Passionate about professional learning, literacy and getting it right for all learners, Julie embarked on a Masters in Reading Recovery and Literacy Leadership in 2017. Following this she became involved in Boosting Reading and has seen the impact of this intervention first hand at Primary and Secondary levels.
