Leah Freeman

Leah is Deputy Leader at Oasis Innovation Teaching School and a teacher educator specialising in early reading and reading intervention. Leah has 20 years’ experience in primary education as a lead teacher, literacy consultant and Reading Recovery Teacher Leader.

A busy mother of two wonderful little girls, Leah balances consultancy and professional learning programmes to raise standards in reading in schools with her home life.

Leah has provided training in Boosting Reading for just over a decade, supporting many schools across the North West to implement and co-ordinate the programme.

More recently, Leah has been working with secondary schools, using BR@S to help raise standards and her research project for her master’s degree was based on the programme.
